Courses

At the core of the project is the development of training courses addressing digital literacy needs in terms of developing media competences and building up strategies for effective information design.

While the use of ICT in many educational contexts is becoming widespread, this is less the case in the context of senior learning.

The ICT4T course is designed to give trainers/ teachers who are interested in using ICT in their work with senior learners an introduction to this area, and so prepare them to use ICT tools appropriately and effectively in this context.

This course will be offered to a European audience both face-to-face (Grundtvig) as well as online (Moodle).
For the two face-to-face courses participants can apply for a Grundtvig training grant from their National Agencies.

Each training course incorporates the following modules:

  • Module 1: Introduction and Experiences
  • Module 2: Senior Learner Needs in the Context of ICT-based Teaching
  • Module 3: Accessibility Issues in the Context of ICT-based Teaching of Senior Citizens
  • Module 4: Learning Theory in Senior Learning with ICT
  • Module 5: ICT Tools Available for Use in Senior Learning
  • Module 6: Pedagogical Issues - Activities Using ICT with Senior Learners
